由世界中国烹饪联合会主办的第三届中国烹饪世界大赛于2000年3月8日至9日在日本东京举行。参赛的42个代表队来自中国、日本、美国、荷兰、加拿大、新加坡、马来西亚、中国香港、中国台北等九个国家和地区,共有100多名选手。大赛设立团体赛和个人赛。个人赛有冷菜、热菜水产、热菜畜禽、面点四个比赛项目。个人赛的成绩,除争夺金、银、铜奖牌外,还计入团体总分。经过认真准备、严密组织和各代表队积极参与,本届大赛取得了圆满成功。
