应英国文化委员会的邀请,中央广播电视大学“英国远距离访问代表团”一行三人,团长谢新观,团员李福芝、臧晋平,于1993年2月15日至28日对英国部分远距离教育的学校和部门做了为期14天的访问.其间,我们考察走访了伦敦、曼彻斯特、康温特里以及伦敦附近的怀尔、米尔顿、剑桥等地区的四所院校——伦敦大学怀尔学院、英国开放大学、国家继续教育学院、国际继续教育学院,两个社团——英国开放学习基金会、英格兰皇家农业社团和一个公司——环球电视公司,会见访问了33位学校与社团的主要负责人.
