1989年8月8日《人民日报》报道:今年是孔子诞辰2540周年,生日的农历日期是八月二十七日,公历日期为9月28日。这是怎样算出来的呢? 经史学家与历法学家研究认定,孔子是生于鲁襄公二十二年十月庚子。要算出它的公历、农历日期,当前我们可以求助于南京紫金山天文台张培瑜先生的专著《中国先秦史历表》。从《中国先秦史历表》可以查到鲁襄公二十二年(周灵王二十一年)十月朔(即十月初一)是甲戌,公历为公元前551年9月8日。根据六十甲子的排列次序,从“甲戌”数到“庚子”是
