调幅/调相转换被定义为输入和输出信号之间的相位随输入信号电平改变时的变化。此因子是在输出功率的特定电平下被动态地测量的,以度/分贝(/db)为单位。在行波管内,调幅/调相转换现象之所以发生,是由于当输入信号电平增高时,电子注与输入射频信号之间产生较大的能量交换,电子注速度下降的缘故。在比饱和点的输入电平低20分贝或更低些时,调幅/调相转换可以忽略不计。过此点后,调幅/调相转换剧烈增长,当行波管被比饱和点电平更高的信号激励时,相位开始反转。
AM / Phase conversion is defined as the change in phase between input and output signals as the input signal level changes. This factor is measured dynamically at a specific level of output power in degrees / dB (/ db). In the traveling wave tube, AM / PM conversion occurs due to the large energy exchange between the electron injection and the input RF signal when the level of the input signal increases, resulting in a drop in the electron injection speed. AM / PM conversion is negligible at 20 decibels or less below the input level of the saturation point. After this point, the AM / PM transition increases dramatically and the phase begins to reverse as the traveling wave tube is excited by a signal higher than the saturation point level.
