The loss of adrenergic symptoms during hypoglycemia is a major risk factor for the development of severe hypoglycemia in type 1 diabetes mellitus (IDDM). This defect usually occurs in the insulin treatment after a few years, the incidence of about 20%. The reason there is still controversy, originally attributed to autonomic neuropathy, and later that the lack of adrenergic secretion. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a delay in the secretion of adrenergic insulin-induced hypoglycemia in diabetic patients who have hypoglycemic symptoms or have recurrent episodes of severe hypoglycaemia. 14 cases of IDDM divided into two groups. A group of 7 cases of loss of hypoglycemia, and severe, repeated episodes of hypoglycemia; B group of 7 patients
