为进一步落实1991年“临汾农村学校体育工作座谈会”的精神,推动全国农村学校体育工作的开展,1994年,国家教委体育卫生与艺术教育司分别在广东省湛江市遂溪县、安徽省凤阳县和江苏省江宁县、甘肃省临泽县分片召开了农村学校体育工作研讨会。同时,还对全国农村学校体育的现状进行了调查。通过上述工作,使我们对我国农村学校体育的现状和形势有了全面的估计,也为今后如何根据当前的形势、任务和教育发展的条件,进一步推动全国农村学校体育的工作提供了新的思路。
