新疆生产建设兵团105团棉花示范项目于2014年6月由国家发改委、财政部批准并开始建设。项目规划建设万亩核心示范基地,10万亩示范区和50万亩技术辐射区,开展集成无线传感技术、远程控制技术、地理信息技术和遥感技术为一体的棉花精准生产物联网应用示范工程。目前,构建了万亩核心示范区完整的灌溉自动化地下管网及地上控制系统,确定了灌溉自动化运行模式。通过田间监测、专家决策、灌溉设备自动远程控制、灌溉状态全方位监测四步工作实现了示范区灌溉
