随着新闻出版业的蓬勃发展,报纸与其他媒体形成了相互竞争、相互补充的新局面。如何发挥其自身优势,弥补报氏出版周期相对较长,及时效性滞后于广播、电视和网络等的不足,报纸印刷新技术的应用与发展起到了很大作用。数字技术的应用提高了出版的时效性、增加了生产的灵舌性,提升了传统报业的竞争力,推动了报业印刷的发展和技术进步,包括 CTP、数码打样、数字化工作流程、CIP3油墨预置、屏幕软打样、邮发系统等方面的改造。这些新兴数字技术的发展及其应用,对报纸出版业的发展起到了积极的推动作用,也使报纸印刷走在了其他印刷分支领域的前端。
