李叔同是这一时期学堂乐歌的杰出代表之一,是我国最早的从事乐歌创作和乐歌教育的先驱者之一,他对我国学堂乐歌的贡献以及对中国近代音乐的贡献起着重要的作用。
Li Shuntong was one of the outstanding representatives of the school music during this period. He was one of the earliest pioneers in the field of songwriting and music education in China.
