音感决不能仅限于对各别孤立单音的感能。对两个或两个以上的音群构成为纵向与横向的音响结构整体,也必须具有敏锐的感能。音在音乐中的使用与出现,往往遵照着一定的规律和音调习性,如一定的音阶、和弦、调式、调性等。为此,音乐教学中理应熟悉这些规律与习性。两个音构成为音程,音程的协和与否是首先需要思考的问题。对于什么是协和或不协和,不同时代、不同人的感受会有不同的判断与结论。从纯物理声学的角度来看,但凡发声频率的振动数成简单数字比的音程,就属于协和:
