建筑工程在施工与使用中,基础和地基所承受的荷载不断增加,引起地基及基础的变形。而建筑物本身也随之发生变形,包括建筑物的沉降、倾斜和裂缝。这些变形如果超过一定限度,就会影响建筑物的正常使用,严重时危及建筑物的安全。因此,在建筑物的施工和管理阶段,都需要对建筑物进行变形观测,通过观测所取得的数据,分析和监测建筑物变形情况,发现有异常变形时,可以及时分析原因,采取有效措施,以保证工程质量和安全生产,同时也为今后建筑结构和地基基础的合理设计积累经验。
