人民日报国内资料组编制的“人民日报社论索引”(一九四九——一九五八)已在今年九月间出版了。这本索引包括了人民日报从一九四九年至一九五八年十年间的全部社论,共两千五百八十八篇。此外,并附有新华社在一九四九年和一九五○年发出的四十三篇社论和人民日报编辑部的几篇重要文章。索引分三个部分:第一部分按时间顺序排列,第二部分按问题性质分类排列,第三部分选择一些容易被人记起的社论题目按拼音字母顺序排列。此外并在第一部分的某些社论题目下面加了必要的注解。这样,用这本索引就可以比较方便地查找十年间人民日报所发表的全部社论。我们的编制工作是从今年三月开始的。为了保证工作质量,全部索引都经过了几次核对。索引的加
The “People’s Daily Editorial Index” (1949-1958) prepared by the People’s Daily Domestic Information Group was published in September this year. This index includes all the editorials of the People’s Daily from 1949 to 1958 for a total of 2,158 editorials. In addition, there are several important articles published by Xinhua News Agency in the editorial departments of the 43 editorials and the People’s Daily in 1949 and 1950. The index is divided into three parts: the first part is arranged in chronological order, the second part is arranged according to the nature of the problem, and the third part is to select some editorial topics that are easy to be remembered in alphabetical order. In addition, the necessary comments are added below some of the editorial topics in part one. In this way, it is easy to find all the editorials published by the People’s Daily in this decade with this index. Our preparation work started in March this year.
