1950年出生于伊拉克巴格达的扎哈·哈迪德,1977年自伦敦AA建筑学院毕业之后,加入大都会建筑事务所,与雷姆·库哈斯和埃利亚·赞西利斯一道执教于AA建筑学院,并在那里成立了个人工作室。在设计实践的同时,哈迪德还从事学术性研究工作,曾在哥伦比亚大学和哈佛大学任访问教授,在世界各地教授硕士研究生和开办专业讲座。1994年在哈佛大学设计研究生院执掌丹下健三教席。教学、研究加设计等综合性的实践,都使得哈迪德能够以明快的思维和犀利的词语表达她的设计观念。
Zaha Hadid, born in 1950 in Baghdad, Iraq, joined the Metropolitan Architects in 1977 after graduating from the AA School of Architecture in London, coached with AA Reim Koolhaas and Elia Zanisis in AA School of Architecture, and set up a personal studio there. While designing practice, Hadid is also engaged in academic research, has served as visiting professor at Columbia University and Harvard University, taught master’s degree in the world and offers professional lectures. In 1994, Harvard University Graduate School of Design holds the chair of Kenzo Tan. Teaching, research and design and other comprehensive practice, have made Hadid expressed in a clear thinking and sharp words her design concept.
