为优选杉木种源、制定速生丰产林的定向培育措施,按照《木材物理力学性质试验方法》的规定,对江苏省句容县、江西省分宜县、广西省柳州市三个试验点的三十三个杉木种源木材的气干密度、顺纹抗压强度、抗弯弹性模量和抗弯强度等主要物理力学指标进行了测定分析,结果表明:同生长点不同种源间存在差异,同种源不同生长点间也存在差异,随着生长点纬度的增加,材性指标也有渐增的趋势;在一定程度上地理环境因素比遗传因素对材性的影响更为显著
