瞿秋白同志写作杂文《一种云》时,正处在白色恐怖笼罩下的上海,环境十分险恶,再加上国民党反动统治的新闻检查严密,层层设卡,他不得不使用鲁迅先生经常使用的匕首、投枪式的杂文形式和拟人、比喻、象征的表现手法,揭露敌人,歌颂革命。因此,包括《一种云》在内的他的杂文,措词隐微而曲折,寓意深刻而含蓄。目前,初三学生历史知识比较贫乏,对作者及其作品,又缺乏了解,阅读这篇课文有一定困难。为此,教学《一种云》必须注意两个问题:第一,交待清楚作品的时代背景和作者 When Comrade Qu Qiu-bai wrote the essay “A Cloud,” he was in Shanghai under the shadow of white horror.
