上海职业教育起步较早,19世纪中叶初现雏形。1867年上海江南制造局附设机器学堂培养技术人员和工人,为上海职业学校的开端。新中国建立后,特别是改革开放30年来,在党中央、国务院关于“大力发展职业教育”方针的指引下,中共上海市委、市政府高度重视职业教育,市教委坚持“以发展为主题,以改革为动力,以调整为抓手,以提高质量和效益为目标”的工作策略,锐意进取,奋力拼搏,使上海中等职业教育围绕社会经济实际,取得了重要进展——
Shanghai Vocational Education started earlier, the early embryonic form of the mid-19th century.
