Through our efforts in quality at Sinogenix, and later working with various organizations, we have generated a series of insights that are critical to successful quality improvement. These insights are equally important, and the absence of one will make a thorough, long-lasting quality effort. First, the pursuit of quality improvement, because it is a successful corporate strategy. The dedication required to support a quality improvement process does not come from persuasion and advertising. There is bound to be tremendous pain in the management of this process of change. It arises from the differences between what happened and what the management thinks may happen. The motivation for insisting on this change must come from the belief that it is worth the effort from a business point of view.
