瑞金是共和国的摇篮。同处江西赣南老区的兴国县,也有一个人民军工的摇篮——官田“中央兵工厂旧址群”。追根溯源人民军工的发源地。1931年10月,中央革命军事委员在江西省兴国县官田村建立“中央军委兵工厂”揭开了人民军工发展史的第一页,成为人民军工的发源地。2009年8月,兴国官田“中央兵工厂旧址群”被评为“国防科技工业文化教育基地”。在2011年10月在京举行的“纪念人民军工创建80周年大会”上,中共中央总书记、国家主席、中央军委主席胡锦涛致信祝贺人民军工创
