林业在可持续发展中具有重要地位。“十一五”时期,中央财政对林业生态的投入达到3227亿元,为发展现代林业、建设生态文明、应对气候变化提供了有力保障。(一)支持林业重点工程,着力保护森林资源。一是支持天然林资源保护工程。2000—2010年,中央财政累计拨付天然林资源保护工程资金1119亿元,有效保护天然林资源16.19亿亩,工程区森林蓄积量净增7.25亿立方米,森林覆盖率增加3.7个百分点。
