我州农广校从1983年6月筹建到现在已经两年多了。两年多来,在各级党政领导的热情关怀和支持下,经过各级农业部门的认真组织和办学人员的艰苦努力,取得了可喜的成绩。目前,我州农广校已开设了农学、农经两个专业,农学班50个,农经班32个,共82个教学班,计学员3110人。农学专业已完成了两门课的学习,学员巩固率达74.6％;农经专业已于1985年10月8日正式开学。目前,我州各级领导办农广校的热情较高,组织机构逐步健全,办学条件有了改善;大部分学员学习情绪稳定,学习成绩较好;涌现出了一批先进典型,摸索出了一些好的办学经验,农广校工作已向正规化方向前进。当前必须做好以下几项工作:
