内蒙古地税网络覆盖了一个自治区局、14个盟市局及其所属区县级基层办税点。内蒙地税局已经在数据网上开通综合征管、稽查稽核业务,同时存在一些与外联单位合作的业务。自治区信息化建设自2001年就开始,已经初步建设了基本的计算机业务软件平台、办公OA系统,并且数据网络系统也在2003年初步建设了一张覆盖了从自治区到盟市、区县级的网络,但都只是以单线路的单套设备组网为主,网络的可靠性、冗余性不足。
