四川省西南部是众多少数民族聚居区,多年来由于交通不便、信息不灵,那里经济发展一直受到严重阻碍。随着东部中部经济腾飞和省内大中城市的现代进程不断加速,民族地区经济滞后问题更加突出。伴着国家西部大开发战略的步步推进,民族地区迎来了真正的机遇和挑战,在这历史性关键时刻,怎样将这些地区的经济发展纳入开放的社会化大生产体系中,进而推进整个西部经济全面腾飞,是每位西部人都应当关心和思考的问题。
