The ADRA2A gene has long been a subject of scientific interest and we can all see information about it in every aspect of our understanding. ADRA2A gene is a gene after aerobic endurance-related gene discovery, it is full-length 3876bp, only one exon, encoding a total of 450 amino acids. This gene is a member of the G protein-coupled receptor subfamily and consists of three more homologous subtypes: alpha2A, alpha2B and alpha2C. These receptors primarily regulate neurotransmitters released by sympathetic and adrenergic neurons and therefore play an important role in the mediation of central nervous system function. By collecting relevant literature, we found that ADRA2A gene is associated with aerobic endurance, diabetes II, schizophrenia, dangerous driving, alcoholism, ischemic stroke, and future drug development. Through the summary of the literature, to specifically look at the current status of ADRA2A gene research.
