The effect of ginger (Zingiber officinale) 50% methanol extract on blood lipids and tissue damage in cholesterol diet rabbits was studied. Experimental methods: Male rabbits were divided into four groups: Group I: placebo (120 days); Group II: cholesterol feed (60 days); Group III: cholesterol feed (60 days) + normal food (61 to 120 days); Group IV: cholesterol feed (60 days) + ginger extract (61-120 days, 500 mg/kg, orally).
