先说说属于知识范畴的第一个方面:词汇。中国学生在不同的学习阶段,需要掌握不同数量的单词。整个20世纪,经过美国、英国和我国统计语言学家和词典编纂专家们对大量语言材料(简称“语料”)的调查统计,我们对现代英语的词汇构成有了一个比较全面的认识。根据统计资料,我们可以看出每一个英语词在现代英语中使用的频率是多少。例如,定冠词the是现代英语出现频率最高的单词,任意选取一定数量的语料,平均每11个单词
Let us talk about the first aspect that belongs to the category of knowledge: vocabulary. Chinese students need to master different numbers of words at different stages of their learning. Throughout the 20th century, through the survey and statistics of a large number of language materials (“Corpus”) by statistical linguists and lexicographic experts in the United States, Britain, and China, we have a more comprehensive understanding of the vocabulary composition of modern English. Based on statistics, we can see how often each English word is used in modern English. For example, the definite article the is the word with the highest frequency of occurrence in modern English, arbitrarily selecting a certain amount of linguistic data, averagely every 11 words
