直到今天,张勇民还保持着那个年代知识分子的特质:赤子的爱国情怀与对科研事业的执着。作为一名科研工作者,他是通过自我努力奋斗,成为法国国家药学科学院第一位也是目前唯一一位华人院士。作为一位旅法华人,他见证了祖国国际地位的提高,用自己的努力去获得认可与尊重;作为学人前辈,他为后辈们提出真挚的希望:学好法语,讲好中国故事,敢于接受挑战,敢于面对困难。张勇民曾于1999年-2002年连任第14-16届全法学联副主席。2015年出任新成立的巴黎六大中国学联名誉主席。
Until today, Zhang Yongmin also maintained the qualities of intellectuals of that era: the son of patriotism and dedication to scientific research. As a research scientist, he is the first and only Chinese academician in the French National Academy of Pharmacology through his own efforts. As a traveling law Chinese, he witnessed the improvement of the international status of the motherland and used his efforts to gain recognition and respect. As a scholar of his predecessors, he made sincere wishes for younger generations to learn French, tell a good story in China and dare to accept Challenge, dare to face difficulties. Zhang Yongmin served as vice chairman of the All-China Federation of Science and Law for the 14th-16th years from 1999 to 2002. In 2015, he became the honorary chairman of the newly formed six China Federation of Students in Paris.
