产品设计者丢掉绘图板,坐在计算机屏幕前,轻快地敲着键盘,所要的产品图纸及零件表、外购件表、标准件表就能出来……这是 CAD(Com puter AidedDesign,计算机辅助设计)应用的情景。机电部科技司于1991年1月宣布,国家“七五”重点科技攻关项目《重点机械产品 CAD 系统开发》已经完成,其中包括洛阳拖拉机所、中国农机院、上海内燃机所分别研究开发的轮式拖拉机、农机具、中小功率内燃机 CAD 系统。据了解,CAD 技术是1960年一美国人发明的;我国的开发利用晚了至少15年,比之更高级的 CAD/CAM(计算机辅助设计和制造一体化)的开发仍处于起步阶段。
