男女平等,是指男女两性在婚姻家庭关系中,享有同等的权利,负担同等的义务。《中华人民共和国宪法》第48条第1款就男女平等问题明确指出:“中华人民共和国妇女在政治的、经济的、文化的、社会的和家庭的生活等各方面享有同男子平等的权利。”在党和国家的高度重视和大力推进下,男女平等基本国策对我国妇女事业的发展产生了重大而深远的影响。2012年11月中国共产党第十八次全国代表大会中,首次将男女平等作为基本国策写入报告。这是继1995年我国政府提出“把男女平等作为促进我国
Equality between men and women means that men and women have the same rights and equal equal obligations in marriage and family relations. Article 48, paragraph 1, of the ”Constitution of the People’s Republic of China“ explicitly states on the issue of equality between men and women: ”Women in the People’s Republic of China enjoy equal rights with men in all aspects of their political, economic, cultural, social and family life . “With the great attention and vigorous promotion by the party and the state, the basic state policy of equality between men and women has had a profound and far-reaching impact on the development of the women’s cause in our country.” In November 2012, for the first time, the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China incorporated the equality of men and women as the basic national policy into the report. This is the second time since my government proposed in 1995 that “equality between men and women be promoted as our country.”
