企业的经营管理说到底是对资源的争夺、组织和利用。在企业的众多资源中,人作为特殊资源,其重要性越来越受到重视和研究。如何发掘人才,留住人才并发展人才,从而为组织保持强劲的生命力和竞争力,是企业面临的重要课题。中国传统管理哲学强调以人为核心的尊重人、爱护人、关心人、重视人的价值、鼓励创新,充分体现了中国自古就有的人本管理思想。这种思想流传到西方得以发展,形成了整合东西方思想的新的人本管理思想,这可溯源到行为科学理论——即二十世纪二、三十年代开始,西方管理理论和管理学派侧重研究人的需求、行为的动机、人际关系等等,主张通过多种方式刺激人的积极性。在人类社会步入知识经济时代的今天,管理理论和实践都聚集在一个焦点上:即人是企业发展的根本。以人为本的管理思想对现代企业制度的建立以及日常经营管理行为的规范具有重要的借鉴意义。
