August 6, 1944, the Japanese full load displacement of 20,450 tons of aircraft carriers “Yunlong ” was completed at the Yokosuka Naval Shipyard. This is the last aircraft carrier completed by the prestigious Yokosuka Shipyard, in addition to the “Shinano” converted midway through the battleship. However, compared with the warm scenes when the aircraft carriers were completed, the time of “Yunlong” apparently can only be described as desolate. At first, those who formulated the “Yunlong” class aircraft carrier construction plan believed that the entry of new aircraft carriers will narrow the gap between the strength of aircraft carriers in the United States and Japan and play an important role in the war. But who can think of it, until the “Dragon” was completed, the war situation has deteriorated to the point where it can not be tidied up.
