一、适地适树是茅山地区造林中的突出问题 去年,我们对茅山山脉进行土壤踏查时,发现整个山脉有林地面积很少,疏林地和荒山荒地面积却很大。这就给人们提出一个问题:难道长期以来,茅山地区没有造林吗?茅山地区的土壤不能长树吗?我带着这一问题,先后调查了该区范围内的溧阳瓦屋山林场,句容东进林场,金坛茅东林场,丹徒长山林场曲阳林业站,以及句容县春城公社等有关场、社。通过调查,疑问基本上得到了解答。茅山地区并不是长期以来没有造林,更不是茅山地区的土壤不能长树。

Through the investigation, the question basically got answer. Maoshan area is not a long time no afforestation, but not the soil in Maoshan area can not grow trees.
