安国县(旧祁州,清末废州設县时始改为安国,位于北緯38°,东经115°的地方,当华中大平原。气候为大陆性气候。平均温度13.5℃,最高19.4℃,最低7.5℃。平均降雨量550厘米,雨年与旱年相差很大,一般6—8月佔全年雨量的85%,7月为最多約佔三分之一。2—4月因季节風关系土壤較干旱。一般年蒸發量2000厘米,蒸發最盛期为4—10月。土壤为沙质或粉沙质土壤。药用肥習惯用餅肥(东北豆餅)或牛馬粪,近年由于肥料的限制,多施牛馬粪及部份化学肥料,生長亦良好,質量也完全合乎規格要求。
