作为北美华文文坛曾经短暂存在的《华人世界》杂志,在仅有的三期有限篇幅里,做出了相当的文学性努力。公司发行、广告使用、编辑队伍及栏目设置等方面,都相对典型地显示出北美新移民文学的生长困境以及困境中的倔强与坚持。尤其是文学创作与学术评论两个方面,在集中体现了新移民文学代表性成就的同时,也留下一些引人思考的遗憾。《华人世界》,提供了一个观察海外华文文学生存现状与未来发展的窗口,对其进行文学性的个案考察,意义在于进一步把握海外华文文学的生态语境,思考其继续生存的条件及发展的可能空间。
As one of the short-lived Chinese world magazines in North America, Chinese World magazine made quite a literary effort in only three limited space. Company distribution, advertising use, editorial team and column settings, etc., are relatively typical of North American new immigrants literature shows the growth of the plight and difficulties in the stubborn and persistent. Especially in literary creation and academic commentary, while embodying the representative achievements of the new immigrants in a concentrated manner, it also leaves some pensive thoughts. The “Chinese World” provides a window for observing the current situation and future development of overseas Chinese literature.
