领导干部只有具备良好的思想政治素质,才能保持思想上的清醒和政治上的坚定,不断净化心灵和完善自我,不断强化党性修养和宗旨意识,主动增强政治敏锐性和政治鉴别力,始终坚持正确的政治路线和政治方向,不断坚定理想信念和增强革命斗志,从思想深处更加坚定对中国特色社会主义的制度自信、理论自信和道路自信,才能勇于面对困难挫折和风险挑战。领导干部的思想政治素质关系到个的人威信和领导能力,关系到党的领导水平和执政能力,关系到中国特色社会主义事业的质量和效率,因此,必须把提升领导干部的思想政治素质作为一项基础性的根本任务常抓不懈。
