No different from previous years, Sotheby’s in Hong Kong still took the lead in ringing the first hammer of 2011 in 2011, 8 days, 20 special auctions and more than 3,600 lots of treasures from 8 different collectors’ quarters. The total valuation of 2.7 billion Hong Kong dollars, the final total turnover of up to 34.9 billion Hong Kong dollars. Among them, the total turnover of painting and calligraphy was HK $ 648 million, a net increase of HK $ 500 million over the HK $ 150 million of the total valuation.
