装饰艺术经常被视为一种艺术,是一种观赏功能大于实用功能的艺术。中国的装饰艺术历史悠久,丰富多彩,独树一帜。当今,科学技术高速发展,工厂化大生产,中国传统手工艺往往慢慢被人们所忽视,中国传统手工艺是中华民族历尽千年留下来的历史宝藏,是中华人民集体的智慧结晶,中国现代装饰艺术在吸收外来文化精华的同时,也应该弘扬中国优秀的传统文化,将装饰艺术这一越来越受到人们关注的艺术形式与中华儿女独特的民族元素融合起来,这样才能立足于世界,带领中华文明走向世界,凸显自己名族特有的独一无二的文化价值。
