建立一个计算机的古籍字库，不是毫无整理地堆积汉字字形就可以完成的。“多多宜善”不是建立古籍字库的唯一原则。依照汉字规律、借助汉字构形理论来整理汉字，才能建立一个既有利于保持古籍的原貌，又有利于古籍广泛流传时的规范的理想字库。列举了关于整理汉字的一些原则，举出某些理论原则，说明建立一门汉字构形学的重要意义。
