Objective: To investigate the effect of high-flow humidified oxygen therapy on the hypoxemia after mechanical ventilation patients taking off-line and nursing measures. Methods: Ninety-two cases of tracheotomy were randomly divided into control group (n = 46) and observation group (n = 46). In the control group, conventional artificial masks were used to wet and absorb oxygen, while observation group was treated with high-flow and humidified oxygen therapy system. Results: Compared with the control group, the observation group was significantly better than the control group in the evaluation of airway humidification after the two groups were off-line (P <0.05). PaO2, PaCO2 and SpO2 in the two groups at 12h, 24h and 48h after the off-line were significantly higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). CONCLUSION: High-flow humidified oxygen therapy system has an effective preventive and therapeutic effect on respiratory tract humidification and prevention of hypoxemia caused by airway obstruction in high altitude areas.
