无锡近代工业企业家的形成有着独特的个性 ,由于其地理环境及人文传统的影响 ,在实业致富和开放竞争观念的氛围中 ,企业家的形成具有群体特点。企业家的来源组成 ,早期以官僚地主及商人买办为主 ,后期以工商业者为主 ,这样一群不同成份出身的企业家 ,殊途同归 ,促进了无锡经济的快速发展。本世纪 2 0年代是无锡新老两代企业家交替过渡时期 ,从他们对名望的崇尚态度及对社会公益事业的热情程度 ,可以看出两代企业家价值观念与人格素质特征的区别 ;从企业经营的管理方式、发展模式及用人思路方面 ,可以看出两代企业家经营风格的转变。在年轻一代的手中 ,企业走上各自不同的道路 ,留下了人们的沉思
