去年中美桥梁及结构工程会议期间,国际薄壳及空间结构协会(IASS)副主席波波夫教授建议在中国召开一次空间结构国际学术讨论会。经中国土木工程学会研究,认为召开这次会议对扩大国际影响、吸取和学习国际先进经验、加强对外联系都有益处。现已经中国科协批准,决定1986年9月在北京举行。其规模为中外学者各40人左右。 今年五月土木工程学会代表团应邀访问 During the China-U.S. Bridge and Structural Engineering Conference last year, Prof. Popov, the vice chairman of the International Association of Shell and Space Structures (IASS), proposed to hold an international academic seminar on spatial structure in China. According to research conducted by the China Civil Engineering Society, it is believed that the convening of this conference will benefit the expansion of international influence, absorption and learning of international advanced experience, and strengthening of foreign contacts. It has now been approved by the China Association for Science and Technology and decided to hold it in Beijing in September 1986. Its scale is about 40 Chinese and foreign scholars each.
