某厂电机产品外壳为一环形筒体,有环缝、纵缝各一道。材料为DT—3型电工钢,壁厚14mm。该产品因直径较小(外径250mm),纵缝原采用手工焊打底,后用埋弧焊一次完成,环缝采用多层手弧焊。生产中往往由于打底焊缝熔透不均匀,局部出现未焊透,层间夹渣清理困难,易夹渣,埋弧焊时起弧处加热不足,焊道过高,收弧处弧坑大,产生火口裂纹等缺陷,生产中返修率很高。现以混合气体多层焊代替了上述工艺,不仅降低了劳动强度,而且保证了产品质量。
