《画刊》:我看了你这次纽约新个展“双摆”的作品后,有一种感觉,这是你目前为止最为开阔自由的一批东西。你以前说,所有的东西都要有一个边界,你的绘画关注的是无限中的有限空间。我倒是觉得你新个展的东西,比如《乱体系(近景)》《乱体系(远景)》,展现的空间非常开阔,从画面上看,不再强调对空间和界限的控制力。这好像也是延续了“南柯解酲”的绘画思考。仇晓飞:绘画的边界的问题一直是存在的,我觉得绘画不是一个单纯的画面内的东西;绘画是由它的边框所挤压的这个空间,然后绘画内部虚构的空间,还
“Pictorial”: After I read your New York solo exhibition “Double Pendulum”, I felt that this is the most open and free thing you have so far. You used to say that all things should have a border, and your painting is focused on the limited space in infinity. I’d rather think of something new in your solo exhibition such as “Chaos System (Close View)” and “Chaotic System (Vision)”, showing a very open space. From the picture point of view, we no longer emphasize the control over space and boundaries. This seems to have continued the “Nankoo solution” painting thinking. Qiu Xiaofei: The problem of drawing boundaries has always existed. I think painting is not something in a simple picture. Painting is the space squeezed by its borders, and then the interior of painting is fictional.
