甘竹船闸是我县甘竹滩水电站工程的重要组成部分,它的主要作用是保持和改善甘竹航道畅通,确保常年安全通航。设计通航能力以每次通过500吨船队为标准,同时保证在枯水期载重量为300吨的船只能够通行无阻。建闸规模为闸孔宽12.2米,闸高11.9米,船室总长146米。闸顶高程比百年一遇洪水位超高0.27米,坦底高程比最枯水位低3.36米。闸址是在滩的右岸劈山建造,为砂岩基础。船闸工程于一九七一年一月动工,一九七二年三月建成。船闸的主要特点是采用钢筋混凝土横推门结构,为我县首次采用。现将闸门部分设计施工过程和运行使用情况概述如下:
Ganzhu Ship Lock is an important part of the project of Ganzhutan Hydropower Station in our county. Its main function is to maintain and improve the smooth flow of Ganchu aqueduct and ensure perennial safe navigation. The design of navigational capacity is based on passing a 500-tonne fleet at a time, while ensuring unobstructed passage of vessels carrying 300 tons during the dry season. The gate size is 12.2 meters gate width, gate height 11.9 meters, boat room total length of 146 meters. The floodgate elevation is 0.27 meters above the one-hundredth flood level, and the bottom elevation is 3.36 meters below the lowest water level. The dam site is built on the right bank of the beach and is a sandstone foundation. Ship Lock Project commenced construction in January 1971 and completed in March 1972. The main features of the lock is the use of reinforced concrete cross-gate structure, for the first time in our county.
