Inscription: May 22, 2001, China Ship Research Institute ushered in her 40th birthday. Looking back on this extraordinary period, scientific and research workers from generation to generation have used their hard work and sweat to support the independent Chinese forces of Haiphong and eradicated the film haze that has lasted for more than 100 years in the thousands of miles of the coast with perseverance and patience. Through 40 years of development, today's Ship Research Institute has 23 research institutes under its jurisdiction, nearly 30,000 research and production personnel, and is the second largest scientific research institution in China after the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
