联合国粮农组织的林业发展计划把发展林业作为繁荣社会经济和改善生态环境总体发展战略的重要组成部分。过去10年来计划项目急剧增加,1991年进行中项目的预算总额达3.6亿美元,每年新上项目增加的经费约1亿美元,比1980年增加5倍多。今后计划的双重目标是帮助发展中国家的人民脱贫致富和改善生态环境;在策略步骤上将消灭贫困和科技进步放在首要位置。
The UN Food and Agriculture Organization’s forestry development plan takes forestry development as an important part of its overall strategy to prosper the socio-economy and improve the ecological environment. The number of planned projects over the past 10 years has risen sharply. The budget for ongoing projects in 1991 reached a total of 360 million U.S. dollars. Each year, the additional funding for new projects is about 100 million U.S. dollars, more than five times that of 1980. The dual goal of the future plan is to help the people in developing countries to get rid of poverty and improve their ecological environment. At the strategic step, poverty reduction and technological progress will be the top priority.
