在京剧一百多年的历史中,曾经出现过两次高峰。一次是从二十世纪二十年代到抗日战争以前,一次是建国十周年前后。这两次高峰的共同特点是:演出活跃,新剧目层出不穷;舞台上群星灿烂,舞台面貌日新月异。试以二十世纪二、三十年代的状况为例。那时北京的几个剧场几乎每天有戏。杨小楼、梅兰芳、余叔岩、程砚秋、尚小云、荀慧生、马连良、言菊朋等名演员经常演出;“富连城”“中华戏校”“斌庆社”
In Peking Opera more than one hundred years of history, there have been two peaks. One was from the 1920s until the Anti-Japanese War and the other was around the tenth anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The common features of these two peaks are: lively performances and endless new plays; bright stars on stage and ever-changing stage appearances. Take the situation of the 1920s and 1930s as an example. At that time, several theaters in Beijing played almost daily. Yang Xiaolou, Mei Lanfang, Yu Shuyan, Cheng Yanqiu, Shang Xiaoyun, Xun Huisheng, Ma Lianliang, Yan Jupeng and other famous actors often perform; “Fu Liancheng” “Chinese opera school” “Bin Qing Society”
