柴油机进气系统不严密,会使部分空气不经滤清器直接进入气缸,造成活塞、缸套等严重磨损。在柴油机上直接检查进气系统严密性的简易方法是:取下空气滤清器进气罩,让柴油机中速运转,堵严进气管,观察柴油机运转情况,如果柴油机在几秒钟内转速迅速下降,排气管冒黑烟,甚至自行熄灭,则说明进气系统严密性较好;如果柴油机转速迅速下降,排气冒黑烟,但还能运转,自行熄灭需要较长时间,说明进气系统严密性较差,有轻微漏气;如果柴油机仍能继续工作,排气管只稍有黑烟,不能自行熄灭,说明空气不经滤清器大量进入气缸,即进气系统严重漏气。
