This article was published in the “World of Quality” in September 2016. Author Dina Patel is a contributing author to Chartered Quality Society and Quality World magazine. Bombardier Company is one of the world’s top 500 companies, the main aircraft, ships, subway and sports equipment manufacturing. At Bombardier, quality is central to the strategic positioning of its market leaders and is the key to meeting customer expectations. Bombardier’s Quality Program therefore allows graduates to enter the field of quality - business improvement and operations - from two paths, both of which aim to develop quality and business improvement experts with excellent leadership skills. In this article, Dina Patel interviewed Stephen Bruce, Bombardier’s UK Quality Director, and two students on the Graduate Program, from several aspects such as graduate program content, mentor settings, and a quality and competency framework.
