1987年初,10几个人挤在从欧美同学会借来的3间简易铁皮房里不停地忙碌着。中午大家吃着自带的午餐,一辆借来的上海牌老轿车时不时抛锚……在他们艰辛而又快乐的劳动之歌中,《神州学人》开始了它稚嫩而又坚定的旅程。1987年2月12日,邓小平同志题写了《神州学人》刊名。1987年5月,《神州学人》创刊号问世,走向了世界。从此,在海外的留学生们有了一份属于自己的刊物。海外学子说“我们都曾经越洋过海,探索最新的科技,考察发展的世界。我们都曾经经历不同的社会,感受不同的风俗……我们共同拥有一本自己爱读的刊物——《神州学人》。”今天,世界上100多个国家和地区都遍布着中国留学生的身影。自改革开放以来,出国留学人数已经突破百万大关。在中华民族伟大复兴的时代,“神州学人”肩负着更伟大的使命,有着更广阔的舞台,也注定会有更辉煌的业绩。20年来,我们与留学人员一路同行,风雨同舟,见证了20年来国家留学事业的发展和辉煌。在庆祝杂志创刊20周年之际,我们推出专题报道“《神州学人》走过20年”,回顾本刊20年的发展,与广大留学人员共同梳理20年来个人以及我们国家所共同经历、见证的发展历程。将过去20年里我们的所见、所闻、所想化作前进路途上的一个节点,用凝固的瞬间和我们的亲身感受,记录下这段难忘的历史。

On February 12, 1987, Comrade Deng Xiaoping inscribed the title of “Shenzhou Scholar”. May 1987, “Shenzhou Scholars” first issue appeared, to the world. Since then, overseas students have a copy of their own publications. Overseas students say, “We have all traveled across the ocean to explore the latest science and technology and examine the world of development. We all experienced different societies and felt different customs ... We jointly owned a magazine we love to read - Scholar. ”Today, more than 100 countries and regions in the world are home to Chinese students. Since the reform and opening up, the number of people studying abroad has exceeded the million mark. In the era of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, “Shenzhou Scholars” have a greater mission, have a broader stage and are bound to have even more brilliant achievements. In the past 20 years, we have traveled with overseas students all the way and weathered the storm and witnessed the development and glory of the country’s study abroad in the past 20 years. In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the start of the magazine, we launched the special report “” Shenzhou Scholars “After 20 Years”, reviewing the development of this journal for 20 years, and studying together with the overseas students in the past 20 years, as well as common experience of individuals and witness our country The course of development. A node on the road we have seen, heard and imagined for the past 20 years, with a frozen moment and our own personal experience, we record this unforgettable history.
