近些年来,社会的分工越来越细,各个行业翻译的分类也日趋精细。然而涉及这些领域的翻译工作困难却很大,而且还有其不可忽视的特殊性和专业性。在机械领域里,机械专业英语的特点是专业性强、范围广,重视逻辑性和条理性,因此,翻译机械专业英语工作对翻译者的翻译技能的要求也越来越高。这篇文章首先将分析机械专业英语在词、句、修辞等方面的语言特色,来根据这些特色提出在翻译机械专业英语时所需要的一些技巧和方法。
In recent years, the division of labor in society has become increasingly finer, and the classification of translators in various industries has also become increasingly sophisticated. However, the translation work in these fields is very difficult, but also has its particularity and specialty that can not be ignored. In the machinery field, mechanical specialty English is characterized by its strong professionalism, wide range, high attention to logic and rationality. Therefore, the requirements of translator’s translation skills are also increasing. This article first analyzes the linguistic features of mechanical professional English in terms of words, sentences and rhetoric, and based on these characteristics, presents some tips and techniques for translating mechanical professional English.
